Although bleach is a multi-purpose cleaner, I really hate how it burns my nose and irritates my skin. If you have a sensitive sense of smell and skin like I do, or if you prefer to use products that are not harmful to the environment, here’s my recipe for a homemade color-safe bleach.
1 tbs of white vinegar
1 tbs of hydrogen peroxide
2 cups of filtered water
1 clean bottle
You just add all the ingredients together into the clean bottle and you can use it immediately.
Use no more than 1/3 cup per full load. Although it is color-safe, white vinegar has whitening properties that will lighten and brighten your clothes. To avoid discoloration, stick with 1/3.
